A graduate of Walters High School, Graham enrolled at Southwestern in 1946 after completing his military duties in World War II. He lettered in football, basketball and track and was senior captain of both his football and basketball teams. His football teammates voted him Foreman Award winner, an award given to the team’s Most Valuable Player in 1948. Graham was a coach and teacher and later an administrator at Butler, Roosevelt, Anadarko and Crooked Oak High Schools. He then served 14 years as the Deputy State Superintendent of Schools for the Department of Education.
