Teasley played for the Bulldog baseball team for four years following a standout career at Weatherford High School. Teasley was a three-time all-conference selection at second base and led SWOSU to a fifth-place finish at the 1971 NAIA National Tournament as a senior.

Following his playing career, Teasley spent 26 years coaching at the high school level, collecting a 605-280 record. He served as the Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Association President in 1984 and coached the West team in the 1986 All-State baseball game before returning to Southwestern as the head baseball coach. He spent eight seasons leading the Bulldogs, qualifying for the Lone Star Conference postseason tournament in 2002 and 2007. Following the 2007 season, Teasley was named LSC Coach of the Year before he announced his retirement from SWOSU.Â
