He earned all-conference honors each season he played for the Bulldogs and he is one of just two players in SWOSU football history to be named an All-American in three different seasons. Lowden, a standout tight end for the Bulldogs, was named a First Team All-American in 1992 and 1995 and earned second team honors in 1994. After graduating in December of 1995, he began teaching and coaching at Bethel HS in Bethel, Okla., before taking on a career with Southwestern Bell Utilities and OG&E Energy.
