CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced the 2023-24 regional awards for Division II Women's Collegiate Golf on Monday. Senior golfer Megan Brown was named an all-region selection while Brad Fleetwood was recognized as the Central Region Coach of the Year.
 
Fresh off being named the Great American Conference Women's Coach of the Year for the first time in his career, Fleetwood follows up on the accolade as the WGCA Central Region Women's Coach of the Year.
 
The No. 23-ranked Lady Bulldogs have won two tournaments this season with another three top-2 placings. SWOSU's most recent second place finish, at the NCAA Central Regional Tournament, clinched them a spot in the National Championship field for a third time in program history.
 
Brown picks up her third career all-region award from the WGCA, matching former Lady Bulldog All-American Gloria Choi (2016-19) as the most region accolades in program history. She enters the final tournament of the season ranked seventh in the central region with a 74.4 stroke count, having finished seventh or better in six tournaments this year.

The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 750 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
