INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – SWOSU Women's Golf checked in at No. 4 in the NCAA Central Region Rankings released Friday.
The Lady Bulldogs were previously listed among teams under consideration in the initial release on March 13. This marks the first ranking of the season, as teams are now ordered rather than listed alphabetically.
SWOSU has enjoyed a strong 2025-26 campaign, capturing two tournament titles and recording four top-three finishes. In eight events this season, the Lady Bulldogs have not finished lower than 10th.
Individually, SWOSU has been led by
Maria Velilla (74.6 scoring average) and
Freya Sala (74.2), both of whom rank inside the top five in the Central Region.
The NCAA Central Regional is scheduled for May 4-6 at St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Missouri. A total of 18 teams and six individual qualifiers from the Great American Conference, Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference will compete.
SWOSU has one regular-season event remaining — the Spring Central Region Preview on April 6–7 — before competing at the Great American Conference Championships the following week.
The Lady Bulldogs have advanced to the NCAA Regional in 11 of the past 12 seasons.
