RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Daniela Espinoza has been named the GAC Women's Golfer of the Week for week three after winning the Newman Invitational, the league announced Wednesday. 

She helped lead the Lady Dawgs to their first team title of the season, finishing five strokes ahead of Wayne State and six strokes ahead of third-place Central Oklahoma in the 36-hole event. 

Espinoza carded rounds of 68-69 to finish at five-under par, winning the individual title by one stroke over teammate Maria Velilla for the first victory of her career. She recorded seven birdies while carding just two bogeys throughout the tournament. 

Espinoza finished one-under on par-4s, tied for the second-best mark in the field, while her three-under mark on par-5s was tied for the best in the tournament. Her five-under finish was also the lowest score to par of her career.
