RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – SWOSU senior Gloria Choi became the latest Lady Bulldog to be named Great American Conference Golfer of the Week after earning the honor on Thursday, as announced by the conference office.
 
Choi helped her team to a runaway victory at the Diffee Ford Lincoln Invitational, which was played on Monday-Tuesday at Kickingbird Golf Couse in Edmond. She was the top finisher by six strokes over teammate Chloe Thackeray and SWOSU placed all five individuals tied for a spot in the top five or better en route to the 27 stroke victory over Southern Nazarene.
 
In the opening round, Choi shot a three-under 67, the lowest round of the weekend, which build her a four-shot lead over a pair of teammates. Her follow-up round was a two-over 72, which dropped her back to one-under par for the weekend but still enabled her to finish as the individual medalist.
 
Choi was previously named the GAC Golfer of the Week back on September 12, while teammates Chloe Thackeray (Oct. 3) and Elin Wahlin (Oct. 18) have since also claimed the honor this season.
 
SWOSU Women's Golf returns to action on March 25-26 in Miami, Fla., at the Barry Women's Invitational.
