Choi, Lady Bulldogs Hanging Tough at GAC Championships

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Behind another strong round out of First Team All-Great American Conference selection Gloria Choi, the SWOSU Women's Golf team remains in second place after two rounds of the 2018 GAC Golf Championships.
 
SWOSU was four shots off their round from Sunday and lost 13 strokes to leader Arkansas Tech in the second round, but they remain in second place with a six-shot advantage over Henderson State. The tournament will conclude with one final round on Tuesday morning in Hot Springs.
 
Choi has been the star for SWOSU, firing a two-over 74 to sit alone in second place on the individual leaderboard, four shots behind GAC Player of the Year Peerada Piddon for the lead. After not having her score used on Sunday, Tracy McGill shot the second-best round of the day for the Dawgs with a 77 in round two – a four-shot improvement from the opening round. Emily Folsom carded a 79 on Monday while Elin Wahlin and Chloe Thackeray each fell off their pace with 80 strokes in the second round.
