SWOSU Women's Basketball returns to action to host Arkansas Tech and Harding after having their game against Oklahoma Baptist rescheduled due to winter weather in the area.

Last week, in the Lady Bulldogs' lone game of the week, they suffered a loss against No. 25 Northwestern Oklahoma State in Alva, 69-56. A 19-0 run in the first half proved to be the difference in the game, as the Lady Rangers controlled the game from there.

Arkansas Tech enters the game with a 13-2 record and 9-2 in conference while being winners of their last seven after knocking off a ranked Harding squad in their last matchup by 15 points. Their two losses have come against Northwestern by six and SAU by two, both at home. Outside of Tucker Coliseum, they are 5-0. The Golden Suns use the seventh-ranked offense in the nation to outrun opponents, as they average 83.6 PPG, nearly 10 points higher than Henderson State (74.4), which is second in the conference. While scoring that many points, they do have the 11th-ranked defense in the GAC, allowing 69.3 PPG. Tech has attempted 355 free throws on the year, 24 more than the next closest team in the league. They have the best Turnover margin in the conference at +5.6.

Logan Young is a freshman spark for the Suns, as she averages a team-high 17.2 points per game. She has eclipsed 20 points in six games, including scoring more than 30 twice this season. AbbiGrace Cunningham adds 12.1 PPG and has scored in double figures in nine straight games since scoring a season-low two points against SWOSU in their first matchup.

The Suns hold a 22-18 advantage in the all-time series since 1998. Since joining the GAC, SWOSU holds a narrow 14-13 lead. In Weatherford, the record is split, with eight wins on each side.

For the Harding matchup on Saturday, SWOSU holds a 20-19 advantage in the D2 era, while Harding takes the narrow edge at 18-15 in GAC meetings. These two teams have been very comfortable in their own homes, as the home team holds a 26-7 advantage. In Weatherford, SWOSU is 12-4.

No. 15 Harding enters the week at 14-3 overall and 8-3 in conference; they will play Northwestern in a top-25 matchup on Thursday before heading down to Weatherford on Saturday. The Lady Bisons average an even 70 points per game but hold it down on the defensive side, allowing just 62.9 PPG, the fourth-ranked mark in the GAC. Harding averages the second-most blocked shots in the GAC (3.82), just behind SWOSU.

The Lady Bisons have a balanced team, with five players averaging double-digit scoring but none averaging more than 12 points per game. Josie Williams (11.9 PPG), Maddi Holt (11.8), Kori Sanders (11.2), Kennedy Stout (11.2), and Allie Rehl (10.6) make up the five players.

SWOSU comes into the week at 6-10 overall and 4-7 in the GAC and is riding a two-game losing streak while looking to get back on track with two big opportunities to capture key home wins. The Lady Dawgs average 62.3 points per game, which ranks tenth in the league, while on the defensive side they allow 65.3 points per game, placing them in the middle of the pack in the GAC. SWOSU has been plagued by poor shooting, ranking in the bottom two of the conference in FG%, 3PT%, and FT%. SWOSU ranks first in the GAC in blocks with nearly five per game, while also ranking fourth in steals at 9.75 per contest.

Landry Allen continues to pace the Lady Dawgs with 14.8 points per game, along with 6.9 rebounds and 2.1 steals. Her 4.29 blocks per game rank second in the nation and first in the conference. She is coming off her sixth GAC Defensive Player of the Week award out of the 10 possible weeks.

Sincere Jackson averages 13.9 points per game while grabbing 6.7 rebounds. Elle Papahronis scores 11.9 points per game while securing a team-high 8.9 rebounds per game, which ranks third in the GAC, while her 2.3 steals rank second.
