WEATHERFORD – SWOSU head women's basketball coach Jeff Zinn has announced that 10 new student-athletes will join the Lady Bulldogs for the 2025-26 season.
"We're thrilled to welcome a talented recruiting class of 10 young women who we believe can compete at the national level," said Zinn. "We're eager to get them on campus and start building chemistry with our five returning players — a key step to getting off to a strong start. Each of these student-athletes brings exceptional ability, and we can't wait to begin working with them."
The incoming group includes six freshmen and four transfers.
SWOSU is coming off a 16-13 season that saw the Lady Bulldogs qualify for the Great American Conference Tournament for the second straight year, ultimately falling to Southeastern Oklahoma State — a team that went on to reach the championship game.

"We are very excited to get to work with Wrigley. She adds great size, strength, and speed to develop into a great player at the forward position for us. She was an All-State basketball player and a contributor on the 2023 State Championship team."
"Landry will be a huge addition of us, providing inside and outside scoring along with shot blocking, rebounding, and great vision passing. She played 46 games at the OU in two years there playing key role minutes for one of the best Division 1 programs in the country. At Tuttle High School, she was a two-time Super 5 selection, 2021 State Champ and 4A State Tournament MVP. She was a 4-Star Recruit and No.10 center in the 2023 class as rated by ESPN."
"We are excited to have Lacy on our team this year. Lacy is a terrific athlete who is very mentally and physically tough. She scored 1,766 points in her high school basketball career. She was all-state in basketball, cross-country, and earned 2 state medals in track."
"We are so excited to have Payten and all that she will bring on both ends of the floor. She is an elite shooter and a long defender. She brings some great GAC experience starting 28 of 29 games for an Oklahoma Baptist team who won 20 games and finished as the 3-seed a year ago. She shot 43% from the field at OBU and had a game where she went 6-6 from the 3-point line versus the Lady Dawgs."
"We are thrilled to add Maddie to our group next year. She is a tall guard who brings strengths all around to the court. She was voted Second Team All-San Diego and led her team to a conference championship in the 2024 season. She also broke the 1,000-point during her senior season."
"Kasidy is the most well-rounded athlete in the class after playing four sports in high school and excelling in all of them. She scored over 2,000 points in high school all over the court and was all-state for basketball. In tennis, she advanced to the state semifinals. In track, she placed top-5 in the state in 300-meter hurdles. In rodeo she placed top-3 in the nation in breakaway roping."
"Elle brings a lot to our program for the next three years including leadership, toughness, and versatility all-around the floor. She played in all 31 games for San Francisco last year and was the WCC Conference Freshman of the Week after having an outing of 15 points and nine rebounds in one of those games. Elle is a 2-time state champion at Edmond North High School. She was an Adidas 3SSB All-American during her time playing summer basketball."
"Piper is an explosive athlete who has the chance to be a good player for Southwestern. She is an excellent defender, very vocal, and is willing to do whatever you need her to do on the floor. Piper was all-state in basketball, volleyball, and a state qualifier in track."
"Kiara is a strong addition to the guard position and will have the ability to play point guard or the off-guard position for us. She is extremely strong and athletic and excels at getting to the basket, passing, and defense. She logged some great minutes at Lindenwood prior to injury. Kiara was rated the #1 combo guard in Oklahoma while playing for Douglas High School."
"We look forward to developing Zoe at the point guard position. She is a tenacious defender and has an excellent shooting stroke. She is an all-conference performer and Team MVP at Frederick High School."
