Lady Bulldogs Sign Landry Allen

WEATHERFORD – SWOSU Women's Basketball has announced the signing of University of Oklahoma transfer Landry Allen to the program.

Allen becomes a Lady Bulldog following two seasons at OU where she appeared in 46 games for the Sooners. Prior to her time in Norman, she was a four-star recruit at Tuttle High School where she won a state championship as a junior and accumulated numerous individual honors. Allen was named the 2023 Western Athletic Conference MVP, was a two-time Oklahoma Super 5 All-State selection, and a three-time all-conference honoree.

"We're excited to have Landry joining our program and cannot wait to get her in a Lady Bulldog jersey," said head coach Jeff Zinn. "She will provide valuable experience at the highest level as an upperclassman, and bring a winning pedigree that fits right into the culture of SWOSU Women's Basketball."

The Lady Bulldogs lost seven seniors off the 2024-25 roster. SWOSU has already announced the addition of five talented incoming freshmen to the team to pair with five returners and will continue recruiting efforts for additional transfers and signees in the coming months.

SWOSU (59.4 ppg) was one of two teams in the Great American Conference last season to hold opponents under 60 points per game. The team ranked eighth nationally in turnovers per game, averaging just 12.38 per contest, and 12th in turnover margin, winning the turnover battle by a +6.38 margin. The Lady Bulldogs finished 16-13 overall and qualified for the GAC Tournament for a second consecutive season.
