WEATHERFORD – Four from SWOSU Women's Basketball have been named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District, announced Tuesday by the organization.
Seniors Lanie Gooch, Averi Zinn, Layni Zinn, and Libbi Zinn all become two-time winners of the academic honor.
Academic All-District selections were based on combined academic and athletic qualifications. Student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games/contests played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games/contests. In addition to the athletic qualifications, student-athletes must also hold a minimum of a 3.50 cumulative GPA or higher and be at least a sophomore.
Selections for track, cross country, golf, baseball, and softball will all be announced later in the spring.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
