NORTH NEWTON, Kan. – SWOSU Track & Field completed its second outdoor meet of the spring season on Saturday at the Bethel Invitational in Kansas.
The Bulldogs got personal bests from three athletes and had another tie her previous PR.
Breegan Barnett highlighted SWOSU's success by breaking her own school record in the 400m hurdles. She ran a 1:07.35, shaving nearly a second off the initial record she set last meet at the Hendrix Invitational.
Jaci Shelton and
Jessica Kern both improved upon their PRs from the first meet as well. Shelton flung 40.22m in discus, good for third place, while Kern finished fifth in hammer throw with a 38.61m hurl.
Samantha Kuzma tied her best mark in the high jump with a height of 1.51m and finished third.
Madison Radke made nearly a two second improvement from meet one to meet two in the 1500.
With the second outdoor meet in the books, the team will now prepare for OBU Invitational that will be held in Shawnee, Oklahoma this Friday and Saturday, March 28-29.
