SEARCY, Ark. – SWOSU Track & Field wrapped up the 2026 season Friday at the Great American Conference Championships, highlighted by record-breaking performances from Emerson Sours and Makenlee Shieldnight.
 
Sours lowered her own school record in the 400 meters, shaving nearly a second off her previous mark with a time of 1:00.91.
 
Shieldnight capped her career by breaking the program's 1500-meter record, clocking a 5:06.28 in her final race after narrowly missing the mark in her previous outing.
 
In total, the Bulldogs recorded nine personal-best performances at the meet. Haley Baalson led the way with SWOSU's top finish, placing 10th in shot put with a personal-best throw of 12.51 meters.

SWOSU finished 10th as a team at the meet.
