COFFEYVILLE, Kan. – SWOSU Track & Field finished off its third meet in as many weeks on Wednesday when they got more reps at a one-day, small midweek meet hosted by Coffeyville CC.
Four Bulldogs in total improved upon their previous bests, including
Haley Baalson (41.15m) in discus who improved her best mark during her freshman campaign by more than two and a half meters. Baalson is now one of four to surpass the 41 meter-mark in the program's almost 10-year history. Senior
Madison Radke, in the 800m, shaved off tenths of a second on the program's eighth best mark.
Emerson Sours (200m) and
Canon Russell (800m) both also PR'd with tenths of a second improvements.
SWOSU will conclude their busy stretch next Saturday, April 18 at the Pitt State Tune Up in Kansas. The GAC Championships will commence April 29-May 1 in Searcy, Arkansas where All-Conference honors will be earned.
