RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - SWOSU's
Landry Allen has been named the Great American Conference Defensive Player of the Week for week two, the league office announced Monday.
The Lady Bulldogs have now claimed the conference's defensive honor in each of the first two weeks of the season after
Elle Papahronis earned the award in week one.
Allen put together a standout performance against MSSU, setting a program record with nine blocks while adding seven rebounds, 18 points, and two made threes. She also protected the ball, committing just one turnover.
SWOSU sits at 2-1 on the season and continues its homestand today, hosting No. 7 Lubbock Christian at 5:30 p.m.
