Bulldogs Ninth at Mustang Derby

WEATHERFORD – SWOSU XC ran at the Mustang Derby last Thursday night in the second meet of the season and ended with a ninth-place team finish.

After a two-mile first race, the Bulldogs had their race distance increased to a 4k (2.49 miles) at the Mustang Derby. SWOSU was again led by freshman Ema Herald, who finished just outside of the top-50 in the field.

SWOSU's four top finishes mirrored each other from week one. Hailey Holder was 17 seconds behind Herald, followed by Madison Radke nearly six seconds back from that and finally Makenlee Shieldnight. SWOSU's entire lineup, with times and finishes, can be seen below.

The team will remain active for a third consecutive week with a meet coming up this Friday, September 20 – this time in Joplin, Missouri at the Missouri Southern State Stampede.
