CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – SWOSU Women's Golf placed four student-athletes on the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar list, announced Monday by the organization.
Ashlyn Acosta,
Drew Dodgion,
Rebecca Lau, and
Freya Sala represented SWOSU on the list. It's Lau's fifth consecutive season earning the honor as the only golfer in program history to earn it five times. Acosta and Dodgion have now won the award in back-to-back seasons, while Sala is recognized for the first time.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are as follows:
- Have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher
- Be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season
- Have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship
Since 2012, SWOSU Women's Golf has totaled 28 WGCA All-American Scholars from 14 different student-athletes.

The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches.
