WINTER GARDEN, Fla. – SWOSU Women's Golf saw a 24-stroke improvement on day two of the NCAA Championships highlighted by Drew Dodgion and Rebecca Lau who both finished under par.
All five SWOSU golfers improved their scores from yesterday's opening round and all five finished in the 70s. In doing so, they climbed from 17th to 14th on the team leaderboard heading into Thursday's final round.
Dodgion shaved 10 strokes off her score in round two, with a two-under 70. She birdied four times on the day and was one-under on both the front and back nine.
Lau carded a 71 and continues to lead the team in overall stroke count. She sits tied for 25th in the field of 98 competitors.
Like Dodgion, Megan Brown also reduced her second-round score by 10 strokes. She was one-under through nine and ended with a one-over 73 for the day.
Freya Sala (75) and Ashlyn Acosta (79) rounded out the team. Sala was three-over after nine and shot even the rest of the way.
The third and final round will begin at 8:50 am EST tomorrow when Acosta tees it up for the Lady Dawgs.
