MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – SWOSU women's golf traveled down to Miami Shores for the Buccaneer Invitational hosted by Barry University. SWOSU ended in seventh place at the tournament.
Host Barry won by by 12 strokes. They were followed by Nova University in second and Lynn in third.
Megan Brown topped the leaderboard for SWOSU. The senior stayed consistent with her rounds, shooting 73-75-73 to finish at T-17 (+8). Brown excelled on par-4 holes, shooting near the top of the tournament on those holes.
Drew Dodgion was right behind her at T-19 (+9) for the Lady Bulldogs. She had the lowest round in the tournament for any SWOSU golfer with her second-round score of 71.
Freya Sala finished T-30 (+12). She ended play on a strong note, carding a third-round score of 73.
Reigning GAC Golfer of the Week
Rebecca Lau followed her at 33 (+14). Lau shot the second best of any player in the tournament on par-5 holes, at three-under.
Ashlyn Acosta rounded out the team at T-47 (+21) for SWOSU.
They will compete in their last regular season tournament on April 8-9 at the ATU Women's Spring Invitational in Springfield, Missouri.
