PITTSBURG, Kan. – Track & Field finished up a second indoor meet over the weekend at the Gorilla Indoor Classic hosted by Pitt State. It's the second, and final, indoor meet on the schedule heading into the official outdoor season that will begin in March and run through May.
The Bulldogs sent 12 to Kansas to compete in various qualified events. The 60 meter saw
Deuna Miller and
Natalie Freeman shave off time from their first meet of the season.
Madison Radke and
Makenlee Shieldnight did the same in the 600-yard run.
SWOSU also competed in an event for the first time this season – the distance medley relay headed by
Delaney York,
Payten Fite,
Hailey Holder, and
Delaney Ferguson.
Up next for the Dawgs will be an outdoor meet at the Hendrix Invitational held in Conway, Arkansas, March 1-2. Four regular season meets, with a possibility of an added fifth, remain on the schedule leading up to the GAC Championships May 1-3.
