SEARCY, Ark. – SWOSU Track & Field wrapped up the 2023 outdoor season over the weekend at the Great American Conference Championships where the team finished 10th and had two athletes earn all-conference accolades.
 
Freshman Peyton Foster finished six place in High Jump and was awarded Second Team All-GAC honors after jumping 1.55 meters.  Junior Marleigh West picked up a pair of Honorable Mention All-GAC finishes after placing seventh in Discus and eighth in Shot Put. West's 12.26-meter throw in Discus set a new school record.
 
Three were awarded academic honors. West was a GAC Elite Scholar-Athlete as one of 11 competitors in the field with a 4.0 GPA. Meanwhile, Josilyn Schenk and Rachel Masson were both Distinguished Scholar-Athletes with a minimum 3.70 GPA and 70 hours of completed classwork.
 
Oklahoma Baptist repeated as champion of the conference, beating host Harding by over 60 team points.
 
With the conclusion of the GAC Championships, SWOSU concludes up a seven-meet spring schedule.
