CONWAY, Ark. – SWOSU Track and Field competed at the Hendrix Invitational and had some of their best finishes of the year. The Bulldogs captured multiple high finishes in multiple events, including
Peyton Foster's win in the high jump event.
Foster, a freshman from Weatherford, took home the high jump crown after she jumped 1.55 meters. This is the first event win for any Bulldog this season. Foster isn't the only Bulldog to make the podium in their event.
Jessica Kern came in second place in the shot put, throwing 11.16 meters.
Marleigh West also placed second, but in the discus throw. Her best throw came in at 35.76 meters.
Deuna Miller also had two top four finishes on the day. She placed fourth in the long jump and the 100-meter run.
It was a great start to the outdoor track season for SWOSU. These results will give the team some much needed momentum going forward through the outdoor season. Their next meet will be the OBU Invitational in Shawnee on March 24-25.
