ATLANTA, Ga. – Makyra Tramble has been named a Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-American, announced on Wednesday afternoon by the organization. It is now the second media outlet to recognize Tramble as an All-American this season. 

Tramble (Shawnee, Okla.) adds the latest accolade to a long list of 2022 accomplishments that include being named both the D2CCA’s National and Central Region Player of the Year as well as the GAC’s Player of the Year. She was a Third Team D2CCA All-American selection last season and is now a WBCA Honorable Mention All-American this season. 

This is now the third SWOSU player in program history to be named a WBCA All-American. Hailey Tucker (first team) and Hayden Priddy (honorable mention) each earned the honor following the 2018-19 season. 

Tramble was the only women’s player in NCAA Division II this year to average 20.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists. She is also just one of three players across all three divisions (I, II, III) to do so.

Around the NCAA, Tramble ranked top-25 nationally in minutes played (1st), field goals made (2nd), field goals attempted (3rd), steals (3rd) assists (5th), assists/game (14th) and points per game (17th) when her season ended.
