SHAWNEE, Okla. – SWOSU Cross Country was in Shawnee Saturday to compete at the OBU Invitational hosted by Oklahoma Baptist. The Bulldogs finished third place in a five-team field.
 
Oklahoma Christian won the 5k, followed by OBU in second and then the Dawgs.
 
SWOSU's top-five runner average was 22:01.93. Josilyn Schenk turned in the team's top time in 14th place overall, topping teammate Ana Arrieta by over one minute and 15 seconds.
 
The race was the final event leading up to the Great American Conference Championship on November 5.
