SWOSU Notes
• SWOSU and Southern Nazarene have met once prior in the GAC Tournament, a 93-75 victory by the Lady Dawgs in the quarterfinals of the event in 2017
• Wednesday’s victory was SWOSU’s 16th all-time in the GAC Tournament, which is the second-most wins of any conference program at the event
• SWOSU has now advanced to the semifinals of the GAC Tournament eight times in 10 seasons and they are 5-2 in prior trips to the semifinals, most recently a 70-42 victory over Harding en route to the 2019 GAC Tournament title
• Leading the way for SWOSU on Wednesday night was Karly Gore, a Second Team All-GAC selection, who set new career-highs with 26 points and 13 rebounds in the win over Ouachita
• SWOSU got a combined 82 points from the starting lineup against Ouachita, with each player scoring at least 11 points while four of the five had at least eight rebounds in the win
• 2021 GAC Player of the Year Makyra Tramble had a loaded stat sheet in the Quarterfinals with 18 points, eight rebounds, four assists, four steals and one blocked shot in 33 minutes of action
• The third Lady Bulldog to earn all-conference honors, Honorable Mention selection Bethany Franks, had 15 points and eight rebounds while knocking down 3-of-6 three-point field goals against the Tigers
• Franks, who was named the GAC Tournament MVP in 2019, is SWOSU’s all-time leader in steals and added two to her career total, which now sits at 293 and is the most of any active player in NCAA Division II
• Lauren Ramey extended her streak of double-digit scoring games to six consecutive games and nine of the last 10 after scoring 11 points with nine rebounds against Ouachita
• Macy Gore had an all-around performance as well on Wednesday, scoring 12 points in addition to five assists, four rebounds and three steals
