KANSAS CITY, Mo. – In a field of 26 of the top teams in the Central Region, the SWOSU Men's Golf team scored an eighth-place finish at the NSIC Preview Invitational, played on Monday-Tuesday at Shoal Creek Golf Club in Kansas City.
Reigning Great American Conference Player of the Week
Gregor Weck led the Dawgs with consecutive rounds of 77 to finish tied for 27th place at 12-over par for the tournament, one shot ahead of
Gustavo Tineo, who fired an even-par 71 in the second round to finish 13-over for the event.
Heston Brown and
Conner Boydston tied for 37th while
Anders Strand fired a scoring round of 78 on Tuesday and tied for 50th place.
Central Missouri won the tournament by seven strokes over Missouri Western and the Mules were led by individual medalist Thomas Henson, who was one-over par.
SWOSU now has one week off before returning to action on April 12-13 in Muskogee at the NSU Men's Classic, their final tournament prior to the 2021 Great American Conference Championships.
