CABOT, Ark. – For the second consecutive week, the SWOSU Men's Golf team claimed a fifth-place finish after taking fifth out of 19 teams at the Natural State Classic, which was held on Monday-Tuesday at Cypress Creek Golf Club.
 
Gregor Weck was five-over par in the second round and for the tournament after firing an even-par 72 in the opening round and he led the Bulldogs by finishing tied for 12th place. Three shots behind him was Conner Boydston, who had identical rounds of 76 to place 21st. Heston Brown tied for team-high honors in the first round but improved by 10 strokes on Tuesday and shot even-par to move into a tie with Gustavo Tineo for 28th place at 10-over par.
 
Arkansas Tech won the tournament by 16 strokes over Missouri Western, while Henderson State and Central Oklahoma also placed just ahead of the Dawgs. Playing as an individual, Josh McNulty of Henderson State was the individual medalist at four-under par for the tournament.
 
After playing back-to-back tournaments, the Bulldogs have a week off before returning to action on March 15-16 at the UCO Classic in Edmond.
