• The Lady Bulldogs advanced to the Championship Game with a 97-79 victory over Texas A&M-Commerce on Saturday night while LCU rolled into the finals with a 96-66 win over Cameron

SWOSU Notes

• The Lady Bulldogs advanced to the Regional Final with a commanding 97-79 victory over Texas A&M-Commerce on Saturday night in what was the team’s third-highest scoring output of the season and highest since they hung 98 points on fellow South Central Regional participant Southern Nazarene on January 14

• Monday’s game will be a contrast in styles with the Lady Dawgs entering with the fourth-best scoring offense in NCAA Division II (85.4 ppg) while LCU counters with the nation’s best scoring defense (48.2 ppg)

• SWOSU had two players record a double-double in the Regional Semifinal in Makyra Tramble (21 points, 11 rebounds) and Bethany Franks (15 points, 12 rebounds)

• Tramble, the GAC Player of the Year, led the conference in scoring and rebounding this season and she’s the current leader in NCAA Division II with 3.8 steals per game

• Franks picked up her school-record fourth NCAA Tournament double-double while adding two steals to give her 299 for her career, the most of any active player in NCAA Division II

• Karly Gore also had a stellar NCAA Tournament debut with 21 points on 10-of-17 shooting against Commerce while also recording three rebounds, two assists and two steals

• Macy Gore had her third-highest scoring game of the season with 17 points in the semifinals and also dished out seven assists, bumping her average to 4.0 assists per game for the year

• In the win over Commerce, the Lady Bulldogs tied or broke single-game NCAA Tournament school records for points (97), rebounds (45), assists (17) and field goal percentage (47.1%)

• SWOSU got 85 points from their five starters against Texas A&M-Commerce, with Lauren Ramey rounding out the group with 11 points on 5-of-10 shooting

• For the first time as an NCAA Division II institution, SWOSU has qualified for the NCAA Tournament in four straight seasons and the Lady Bulldogs advanced to the National Championship game in the last tournament played in 2019
