SAN ANTONIO, Texas – In their first tournament in nearly one calendar year, the SWOSU Men's Golf team claimed a fifth-place finish at the St. Mary's Rattler Invitational, which was played on Monday-Tuesday at The Dominion Country Club in San Antonio.
Gregor Weck and
Conner Boydston tied for 12th place and led the Bulldogs at six-over par, one shot ahead of
Heston Brown and three shots up on
Kason Cook.
Gustavo Tineo rounded out the scoring at 12-over par for the three-round event.
Arkansas Tech won the tournament going away, 20 shots ahead of Dallas Baptist and with all four scoring golfers among the top eight finishers in the field. Mitchell Ford of Henderson State was the individual medalist at nine-under par, three shots ahead of Austin Green from ATU.
Bulldog Men's Golf has a quick turnaround and will return to action next week, March 1-2, at the Natural State Classic hosted by Harding in Cabot, Ark.
