Setting the Scene
• Lady Bulldog Basketball embarks on a stretch of four consecutive games against in-state rivals this weekend, playing once on the road and once at home
• SWOSU heads to Ada on Thursday night in search of the season sweep of East Central, who the Lady Bulldogs took down 76-39 back on November 21st in their conference opener
• Saturday will see SWOSU as home to host Oklahoma Baptist, who the Lady Bulldogs defeated 85-79 on December 14th in Shawnee
• Tipoff of the matchup with OBU on Saturday has been moved up to 11:00 am to accommodate for another event taking place at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center later in the day
• SWOSU enters the game on a two-game winning streak after defeating Southern Arkansas and Arkansas-Monticello last weekend in Weatherford to improve to 9-5 in conference play
• The Lady Bulldogs are currently tied with Henderson State for fifth place in the GAC standings, but the teams are both one game out of a four-way tie atop the conference leaderboard
About the Opponent
East Central (4-16, 2-12 GAC)
• The Tigers have dropped two straight games and 10 of their last 11 games and they enter the weekend alone in 10th place in the league standings
• ECU is 2-5 this season at the Kerr Activities Center, a place where they are 3-5 against SWOSU since the formation of the Great American Conference
• East Central is the second-lowest scoring team in the league (60.6 ppg), but their scoring defense is fifth and allowing just 66.6 points per game to opponents
Oklahoma Baptist (5-15, 1-13 GAC)
• The Lady Bison snapped an eight-game slide last Thursday with a 72-65 victory over Ouachita, their first conference victory of the season
• OBU is 2-8 away from home this season, including an 0-8 mark in conference road games
• McKenzie Cooper leads the way for OBU with 14.8 points per game, a mark that ranks her fourth in the conference
SWOSU Notes
• SWOSU reached the century mark for the first time this season with a 103-85 victory over Southern Arkansas on Thursday and they remain the highest-scoring team in the conference at 77.7 points per game for the year

Tyra Aska knocked down 10-of-17 field goals for a season-high 24 points against Southern Arkansas and she enters the weekend needing six points to surpass
Michelle Fisher (1,446; 2010-14) for sixth place on SWOSU's career scoring list

Makyra Tramble is leading the way for SWOSU with 14.3 points per game and she's scored at least 10 points in 12 straight games
• Tramble has joined the starting lineup for the Lady Bulldogs and recorded two double-doubles in the past three games, giving her four for the year

Regan Crawford has established a new career high in scoring in each of the past three games, scoring 7 points at Harding, 11 against Southern Arkansas and 13 last Saturday against Arkansas-Monticello

Maddie Sperle came off the bench against UAM and scored a team-high 14 points, snapping a four-game streak of being held to five points or fewer

Taylor Hedrick scored a season-high 15 points on Thursday night against Southern Arkansas and moved into 17th on SWOSU's all-time scoring list and she's now three points away for passing Kristi Dickerson (926; 1995-00) for 16th on the list

Taber Beer has now scored 10 or more points in 10 straight games and she's hit at least one three-pointer in 10 of the Lady Bulldogs last 11 contests

Looking Ahead
• The Lady Bulldogs are on the road for their next four games, a stretch that starts with in-state road trips to Northwestern Oklahoma State (Thursday) and Southern Nazarene (Saturday) next weekend
• The following week, SWOSU heads to Arkadelphia, Ark., to face Henderson State (Feb. 20) and Ouachita Baptist (Feb. 22)
