EDMOND, Okla. – The SWOSU Men's Golf team took part in the UCO Broncho Invitational this week, held at Oak Tree Golf Course in Edmond, where they came away with a 13th-place finish.
SWOSU was led by
Conner Kauffman, who fired the Dawgs low round of the tournament in the first round with an even-par 70 before carding rounds of 74 and 75 in the final two rounds. With his nine-over par total of 219 strokes, Kauffman placed tied for 16th, three shots ahead of
Gregor Weck, who tied for 31st.
Kason Cook shot a 73 in the second round, but that was bookended with a pair of 78's as he tied for 53rd, three shots ahead of
Heston Brown, who's best round was a 74 in the first round.
St. Mary's won the tournament by nine strokes over Missouri-St. Louis, while Trevor Norby of Oklahoma Christian was the individual medalist at four-under par, which topped the rest of the field by four strokes.
SWOSU returns to action on April 1-2 at the Argonaut Invitational in Pensacola, Florida.
