Setting the Scene
- SWOSU Women's Basketball looks to remain unblemished in Great American Conference play as they host Harding on Saturday at 11:00 am inside the Pioneer Cellular Event Center
- The Lady Bulldogs - ranked #16 in the latest WBCA Coaches Poll and #14 in the D2SIDA Media Poll - won their 16th consecutive game on Saturday as they raced past Arkansas Tech 94-63
- The 16-game win streak sets a new NCAA era school record for consecutive wins, eclipsing the previous record which was set last season
- Harding has won four out of their last five games, improving to 7-4 in conference play to sit fifth in the standings currently
- SWOSU swept the regular season series against Harding last season, but it was the Lady Bisons who eliminated the Lady Dawgs from the GAC Tournament in the semifinals
- In Thursday's win over Arkansas Tech, SWOSU senior standout Hailey Tucker became the second player in program history to score 2,000 career points while Hayden Priddy also scored her 1,500th career point

- Hailey Tucker scored a season-best 30 points on Thursday night against Arkansas Tech, becoming the second active player in NCAA Division II to score more than 2,000 points in their career
- Tucker also becomes the second player in SWOSU Women's Basketball history with more than 2,000 career points, joining legendary Lady Bulldog Kelli Litsch, who scored 2,700 points in her illustrious career from 1981-85
- Hayden Priddy also reached a scoring milestone, surpassing the 1,500-career point mark with a season-best 26 points against the Golden Suns
- Priddy is now ranked fifth in SWOSU and Great American Conference history for scoring with 1,509 points, needing eight to supplant Jackie Snodgrass (1,516; 1988-92) for fourth place on the Lady Bulldogs scoring list
- SWOSU scored better than 90 points for the third straight game on Thursday and the eighth time this season, pushing their scoring average to 86.7 points per game, which ranks fourth in NCAA Division II
- Bethany Franks pulled down 11 rebounds against ATU, her eighth game of 10+ rebounds this season, to up her league-leading total to 9.4 rebounds per game
- Dovile Strimaitye was 4-for-5 from the field and 2-for-2 from the stripe as she matched her season-high with 10 points to go along with four rebounds on Thursday night
- Tyra Aska continued her strong all-around play by totaling nine points, six rebounds, five assists, two steals and one blocked shot in the win over Arkansas Tech
- In the latest national rankings, released on Tuesday, the Lady Bulldogs climbed one spot to #16 in the WBCA Coaches Poll and up two spots to #14 in the D2SIDA Media Poll
 
Looking Ahead
- A crossover road trip to Arkansas awaits the Lady Bulldogs next weekend as they'll visit Southern Arkansas next Thursday night and Arkansas-Monticello on Saturday afternoon
- Four straight matchups with in-state foes will follow the road trip as the Lady Dawgs host East Central on February 7th before heading to Oklahoma Baptist on February 9th
