COLBY, Kan. – The SWOSU Rodeo Team opened the 2018-19 season over the weekend with a trip to Colby, Kan., to compete against the rest of the Central Plains Region. Both Bulldog teams had strong performances, putting 13 individuals in the short go on Sunday before earning fifth place in both team standings.
SWOSU accumulated 162.5 points on the women's side of things behind strong performances in breakaway, goat tying and barrel racing.
Taylor Lagasse won the short round and placed second in the average of breakaway
"Overall, the team performed and executed very well," SWOSU Head Rodeo Coach
Mike Visnieski said. "We had 13 players qualify for the short go and several more just out of it.

Next up for the Bulldog Rodeo teams is a trip to Durant on September 27-29 for the Southeastern Oklahoma State Rodeo.
