Setting the Scene
- Lady Bulldog Basketball returns to the Pioneer Cellular Event Center on Saturday afternoon for an in-state, conference showdown with Southeastern Oklahoma State
- Both SWOSU and Southeastern opened Great American Conference play with a victory on Thursday night as the Lady Dawgs defeated East Central 79-76 in Ada while the Savage Storm took down Oklahoma Baptist 78-76 in Shawnee
- SWOSU has won five of their last six meetings with Southeastern, including seven consecutive home wins over the Savage Storm dating back to the formation of the GAC prior to the 2011-12 season
- Saturday's game will match two of the top scoring offenses in the conference as SWOSU averages 83.4 points per game to rank second in the league while SE is just behind in fifth at 74.8 points per contest
- SWOSU will play six of their next seven regular season games at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center in addition to an exhibition contest at the end of December

About the Opponent

- The Savage Storm opened league play with a two-point win at Oklahoma Baptist on Thursday night, evening their record at 2-2 in the process
- Southeastern is led by Katie Webb, who is the GAC's leader in scoring (21.5 points per game) and rebounding (8.8 rebounds per game)
- SE has two other players averaging better than 10.0 points per game in Alix Robinson (11.3) and Katie Branam (10.3)
- Thursday's win over OBU snapped a two-game slide for the Savage Storm, who suffered defeats at Pittsburg State and at home against Texas A&M-Commerce

SWOSU Notes
- For the second straight game, SWOSU had five different players score more than 10 points on Thursday night in the win over East Central
- Reigning GAC Co-Player of the Week
Hailey Tucker paced the Lady Bulldogs with 18 points despite struggling from the field with 5-of-16 shooting from the field

Hayden Priddy also labored offensively at ECU with 3-of-10 shooting, but finished with 17 points, four rebounds and a career-high four blocked shots in 37 minutes

Tyra Aska matched her season-high offensively against East Central with 15 points on 4-of-6 shooting, which included knocking down 3-of-4 three-point attempts
- For the first time this season, SWOSU got a double-digit scoring effort off the bench as
Dovile Strimaitye chipped in a season-best 10 points, two rebounds and one steal in 16 minutes
- In order to pick up the win at East Central, the Lady Bulldogs set a new season-high for field goal percentage (.460) despite attempting a season-low 50 field goals

Taylor Hedrick reached double figures for the third time in five games this season, scoring 11 points on 3-for-4 shooting from the field to up her season average to 10.6 points per game

Bethany Franks leads the Bulldogs in rebounding (7.6 per game) and steals (14) while also averaging 9.4 points per contest
- With three rebounds on Thursday night, Tucker moved to the brink of becoming just the third player in program history to pull down 700 career rebounds
- Tucker (415) and Priddy (366) both rank in the top five of SWOSU and GAC history in made free throws

- The Lady Bulldogs welcome #18/15 Lubbock Christian to the Pioneer Cellular Event Center on Monday evening, with tipoff set for 5:30 pm
- Following that contest, SWOSU completes their home-and-home season series Oklahoma Christian on Thursday evening with a trip to Edmond to face the Lady Eagles
