WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The early signing period produced a pair on in-state signings for the SWOSU Women's Basketball team as head coach
Kelsi Musick and her staff announced Wednesday the additions of Taber Beer (Hammon) and Maddie Sperle (Piedmont) for the 2017-18 season.
"We are very excited to get this caliber of player to stay close to home and that want to be Bulldogs," Musick said of the signings. "Both of these young ladies will excel in our system and make our young team even better!"

Notes: Played her first three years at Leedey HS, helping her squad to two Class B State Tournament appearances…Two-time Class B All-State selection by The Oklahoman, earning honorable mention in 2015 and first team honors in 2016…Three-time all-conference selection and was the 5-County Conference MVP as a junior…Named to multiple all-tournament teams…Scored better than 1,000 points during her sophomore and junior seasons, averaging 20.0 points per game as a junior…Added 4.0 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game last season…Consistently at the free throw line, nailing 85.6% (291-for-340) of her attempts the past two years…Coached by her mother, Leah Beer…Has also played softball throughout high school, earning a selection to the Small West All-State team by the Oklahoma Fastpitch Coaches Association.
Personal: Daughter of Todd & Leah Beer…Mother Leah (Carpenter) played at SWOSU in 1983-84…Older sister Tobey played for the Lady Bulldogs from 2007-09 and brother Tate was a member of the Bulldog Men's Basketball team in 2013-14…Intended major is Physical Education and Coaching

Notes: Entering her fourth season of varsity basketball at Piedmont HS, where she plays for coach Jordan Stark…First Team All-Suburban Conference selection as a junior…Member of two teams that qualified for the Class 5A State Tournament, including a semifinal appearance in 2015…Averaged 14.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.2 steals and 2.1 assists per game during her junior season…High school teammate of SWOSU sophomore guard
