Kelsi Musick is in her sixth season leading the SWOSU women's basketball program
- The two time GAC Coach of the Year has been the model of consistency, winning GAC Tournament titles in two of the last three years and earning back-to-back NCAA Division II National Tournaments. SWOSU is one of only four teams in the Central Region that have reached the national tournament each of the last two seasons
- Her high-energy style of play has led the Lady Dawgs to rank in the top four in the nation in scoring, and top ten in three points made in each of the last three seasons
- A great developer of talent, Musick has coached one All-American and 11 all-GAC selections, including one Player of the Year recipient
- Musick has also spent time as an assistant coach at Fresno State, where they won two Western Athletic Conference regular season and tournament titles, as well as qualified for the NCAA Division I National Tournament in the 2008-09 season
Emporia State: Jory Collins (100-36, 5th season)- Jory Collins enters his fifth season at the helm for the Lady Hornets
- He was honored as the NCAA Division II Region 7 Coach of the Year for the 2013-14 season after his team posted a 30-4 record and made it to a third straight NCAA Sweet 16
- Under his direction, the Lady Hornets have made four straight Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletic Association tournaments, winning the last two
- Has been involved in every aspect of Lady Hornets basketball since coming on as a student assistant in 2000-01, and has served as a graduate assistant, volunteer coach and assistant coach during his time on campus
Last Time Out- The Lady Bulldogs welcomed in-state rival Central Oklahoma to the Pioneer Cellular Event Center on Tuesday as the first part of a double-header
- SWOSU led by as many as four points early in the first half. UCO pulled with in one, and the teams traded a one-point lead twice each before the Bronchos eventually pulled away to win 54-74
- The defense improved for SWOSU in the second half, limiting UCO to 39.1 percent shooting after allowing 66.7 percent in the first half

Chelsea Bates filled her box score, pouring in eight points, six rebounds and five assists. Her rebounds and assists numbers were both team-highs
- SWOSU struggled from deep, shooting 22.5 percent, while SWOSU shot just 27.5 percent from the field overall
- Of the Lady Bulldogs 19 made baskets, ten were assisted, with Bates accounting for 50 percent of the team's total assists
- SWOSU outscored UCO off turnovers 11-8, while also holding a slight edge in fast break points at 8-6. The Lady Dawgs struggled in the paint, however, where they were outscored 40-18 by the Bronchos
Checking the Standings- SWOSU sits in ninth in the Great American Conference at 0-1 and are 1-2 overall after being handed a second straight loss on Tuesday night
- East Central and Southeastern are tied for first in the conference at 2-0, while Harding is currently in third place at 1-0 in the GAC
- Southern Arkansas and Arkansas-Monticello are both 1-1, but will not face conference opponents this week
- Arkansas Tech, Ouachita Baptist and Northwestern have yet to play a conference matchup this season, and will not face conference foes this weekend
- Southern Nazarene and Henderson State are below SWOSU in a tie for tenth place with 0-2 records in conference play
- Four teams remain undefeated in the conference: East Central (4-0, 2-0 GAC), Southeastern (6-0, 2-0 GAC), Harding (4-0, 1-0 GAC) and Arkansas Tech (4-0, 0-0 GAC)
SWOSU Notes- SWOSU currently sits in eighth for scorring offense at 68.7 points per game, led by Williams who ranks fourth in the conference after averaging 20.7 points through three games. Bates also finds herself in the top ten coming in at ninth while averaging 16.3 per outing
- The Lady Bulldogs are finding ways to get to the line and finishing once they get there, sitting at third in the conference after shooting 75.4 percent from the stripe.
Korina Chapman is tied for the conference lead, going 10-10 at the line. Bates ranks seventh in the GAC, going 15-17 from the charity stripe
- SWOSU ranks seventh in assist/turnover ratio at .8, averaging ten assists to 13.3 turnovers. Â Bates leads the way with a ratio of 3.3, the third best mark in the conference, while Sawatzky sits just behind her in fourth with a 3.0 ratio. Bates has ten assists to place seventh on the conference leaderboards, while Sawatzky has nine assists to rank eighth
- Chapman had her third straight game with at least one blocked shot and is third in the confernce with six blocked shots, averaging 2.0 through three games
- SWOSU has two players in the top 11 in rebounding. Bates comes in at sixth averaging 8.7 boards per game. Chapman has also been good on the glass, grabbing an average of 6.7 rebounds to tie for eleventh
- Sawatzky ranks fifth in the conference with seven made 3-point shots. Williams comes in at ninth place with six made
- Bates and Sawatzky have logged more minutes than any other Lady Bulldog. Bates has played the sixth most minutes in the GAC, averaging 32.3 minutes, while Sawatzky is ninth averaging 30.7 minutes
