Setting the Stage
- SWOSU returns home to the Pioneer Cellular Event Center following a tough loss on the road at Harding in the conference opener
- The Lady Bulldogs will host the Central Oklahoma Lady Bronchos on Tuesday, November 25 at 5:30 PM as part of a double-header

The Opponent
Central Oklahoma (3-2)
- Central Oklahoma was picked to finish tenth in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association following a 12-16 season last year which saw them knocked out of the MIAA Tournament in the quarterfinals by Emporia State
- The Lady Bronchos boast an experienced roster, returning seven letterwinners from last year's squad and 11 upperclassmen
- Opened the season by going 1-1 at the Stuteville Automotive Group MIAA/GAC Basketball challenge, falling to Southeastern Oklahoma State before notching a win against Northwestern Oklahoma State. They are now 3-2
- Currently averaging 64.8 points per game, with Kylie Mayes and Haley Weathers averaging 10.6 and 10.4 points per game respectively. They allow opponents 62.8 points per game, allowing opponents to shoot .378 from the field
- Pulling down 36.2 rebounds per contest, UCO is led by Julia Mason who averages 5.33. They currently hold a -1.6 rebound margin, giving up 37.8 rebounds per game

The Coaches
SWOSU: Kelsi Musick (79-66, 6th season)    
- Kelsi Musick is in her sixth season leading the SWOSU women's basketball program
- The two time GAC Coach of the Year has been the model of consistency, winning GAC Tournament titles in two of the last three years and earning back-to-back NCAA Division II National Tournaments. SWOSU is one of only four teams in the Central Region that have reached the national tournament each of the last two seasons
- Her high-energy style of play has led the Lady Dawgs to rank in the top four in the nation in scoring, and top ten in three points made in each of the last three seasons
- A great developer of talent, Musick has coached one All-American and 11 all-GAC selections, including one Player of the Year recipient
- Musick has also spent time as an assistant coach at Fresno State, where they won two Western Athletic Conference regular season and tournament titles, as well as qualified for the NCAA Division I National Tournament in the 2008-09 season

Central Oklahoma: Guy Hardaker (150-90, 9th season)
- Guy Hardaker begins his ninth season in charge of the Lady Bronchos basketball team
- Led UCO to four consecutive NCAA Division II Tournaments from 2007-11 after posting four straight 20-win seasons
- Hardaker has produced 11 all-conference selections, including two Player of the Year honorees
- Inducted into the UCO Athletics Hall of Fame in 2006
- Prior to his move to UCO, Hardaker enjoyed stints at Edmond (Okla.) Memorial and Santa Fe High Schools where he served as the boys' basketball coach 

Last Time Out
- The Lady Bulldogs travelled to Searcy, Ark., for their conference opener against No. 15-ranked Harding
- SWOSU held the lead by as many as eight points with 12:15 remaining in the first half before an 18-8 run by Harding gave the Lady Bisons the lead. SWOSU fought back to gain the lead again with 5:56 remaining in the first half before the Lady Bisons took the lead for good
- SWOSU struggled to find a rhythm during the game, going .318 from the floor, but connecting on just two shots from beyond the arc
- Jennifer Williams led the offense with 24 points on 7-18 shooting in 25 minutes of action. Chelsea Bates and Korina Chapman scored 16 and 13 points each
- Bates led the Lady Dawgs on the glass, pulling down 9 boards. Chapman and Brooke Irwin grabbed six and five rebounds each, and the trio accounted for the majority of SWOSU's rebounds in the contest
- Morgan Vogt and Irwin led the bench in scoring, chipping in with four points each, while Vogt led the team in steals with two
- SWOSU outscored Harding in fastbreak points 8-2, but were outscored in the paint 46-38

Checking the Standings
- SWOSU now sits at 0-1 in the Great American Conference and in ninth overall
- East Central and Southeastern lead the conference at 2-0, while Harding is the only other team that is undefeated in conference play
- Southern Arkansas and Arkansas-Monticello are both 1-1, but will not face conference opponents this week
- Arkansas Tech, Ouachita Baptist and Northwestern have yet to play a conference matchup this season
- Four teams remain undefeated in the conference: East Central (3-0, 2-0 GAC), Southeastern (5-0, 2-0 GAC), Harding (4-0, 1-0 GAC) and Arkansas Tech (3-0, 0-0 GAC)
- Over the weekend UAM and NWOSU both picked up their first wins of the season

SWOSU Notes
- SWOSU is currently third in scoring offense through the first two games of the season, averaging 76.0 point per game. They are led by Williams, who is averaging 25.0 points, and Bates, who is scoring 20.5 per contest. SWOSU has three others who are averaging at least 7.0 points per game: Chapman (9.0), Kimmi Sawatzky (8.5) and Vogt (7.0)
- The Lady Bulldogs have shown a knack for getting to the free throw line and finishing once they get there. They have gone to the line 59 times, completing .763 percent of their attempts, the second best rate in the conference. Williams has attempted the most free throws on the team, taking 20 shots, while Chapman is a perfect 10-10 from the charity stripe
- Averaging 42.5 rebounds per game, the Lady Dawgs currently sit fourth in rebounding offense. They are led by Bates, who is pulling down 10.0 boards per contest. Chapman is second on the team at 7.5 through two games
- SWOSU currently sits sixth in assist/turnover ratio at .7. The Lady Dawgs average 10.0 assists while turning over the ball 14.0 time per game. They also suffer from a -3.5 turnover margin, forcing their opponents into 10.5 turnovers per game

- SWOSU returns to action on Saturday, November 29 when they travel to Emporia, Kan., for a regional matchup against No. 7 Emporia State. The Lady Dawgs fell to the Lady Hornets in the first round of the NCAA Division II Tournament last season
