GOODWELL, Okla. – The Lady Bulldog basketball team steps out of conference play one final time this season when they face Panhandle State on Monday night in Goodwell, Okla. SWOSU enters the game 4-3 while OPSU is winless on the season with a record of 0-7.
After winning back-to-back conference road games to open up the GAC portion of the schedule, SWOSU was downed by Central Oklahoma last week in Edmond. After tonight's game, the Lady Dawgs host Southern Nazarene on Thursday in the final game of the first semester.
SWOSU is the second-leading scoring team in the Great American Conference with an average of 85.7 points per game. Leading the way is
Michelle Fisher, who has averaged 17.1 points per game, and
Sarina Sayama, who is averaging 10.4 points off the bench and has been the leading scorer for SWOSU in three of the past four games.
Behind those two, SWOSU has a balanced scoring effort with seven players averaging 6.9 points per game or more.
Panhandle State comes into the game winless at 0-7 following a three-game roadtrip against Lubbock Christian, Texas-Permian Basin and Eastern New Mexico. The Aggies have not scored more than 69 points in a game this year and they're being outscored by an average of 36.3 points per game.
