WEATHERFORD, Okla. – SWOSU Football swept the Bulldog of the Week honors following its dominant 28-7 win over Oklahoma Baptist, with Braxton Etheridge and Jaylen Niedo taking home the weekly awards. The honor is presented by Wright Media, the official partner for SWOSU Athletics' livestreams and radio broadcasts.

Etheridge (Claremore, Okla.) led the Bulldog offense in his first career start, completing 15-of-20 passes for 166 yards and three touchdowns. SWOSU's 28 points were its most of the season through four weeks, while the Bulldogs finished with 381 total yards of offense, including 215 yards on the ground.

Niedo (Cache, Okla.) helped anchor the Bulldog defense, which did not allow a point to the Bison offense on Saturday night. He recorded three tackles, including 1.5 sacks, and added an interception. The Dawgs scored just two plays later to take a 14-7 lead, a lead they would hold for the remainder of the game. SWOSU recorded six sacks on the night and held OBU to just 4-of-15 on third down, while forcing the Bison to go 0-for-2 on fourth down and never allowing them to reach the red zone.
