The Bulldogs will be back on the diamond for a Thursday-Friday weekday series against the Savage Storm in Durant, looking to take another opportunity at a series victory after dropping two of three games against ECU last weekend. With rain in the forecast, the series has shifted and will see the doubleheader played Thursday beginning at 1:00 pm. Game three is now scheduled for 12:00 pm on Friday.

Over the Dawgs' last 11 games, they have played above .500 baseball with a 6-5 record, highlighted by a signature win over No. 7 Southern Arkansas, handing the Muleriders their lone home loss of the season. SWOSU currently sits ninth in the GAC standings, just one spot out of postseason contention. With their next four opponents ranked sixth or lower in the standings, the Dawgs will have several chances to pick up key wins and play their way into the field of eight.

Historically, Southeastern has dominated the series, with the Dawgs winning just 18 games in 114 all-time matchups. In GAC play, the record stands at 41-10 in favor of the Savage Storm.

In the Dawgs' last 11 games, Maddie Rahon has batted .455 with six RBIs and 15 hits. Blaire Gentry has also been strong in the circle, earning three saves in her last eight appearances along with a win and a loss while posting a 1.03 ERA across 34 innings pitched.

On the season, Rahon leads the Dawgs with a .358 batting average and 34 hits. Catcher Taylor McMahon is second on the team with a .318 average and has thrown out 10 runners attempting to steal.

Southeastern has been led at the plate by Susan Edwards and Illiana Olivares, who are both hitting .382, placing them among the top 12 hitters in the GAC this season. Alyson Malone has been the ace for the Savage Storm, throwing 71 innings with a 2.27 ERA, the fifth-lowest mark in the conference.

As a team, Southeastern is batting .282, which ranks fifth in the conference, while the Dawgs sit eighth with a .263 average. However, SWOSU holds the edge in pitching with a 3.77 team ERA, ranking seventh in the GAC, while Southeastern comes in ninth with a 4.24 ERA.
