BENTONVILLE, Ark. – SWOSU Softball senior catcher Taylor McMahon was named a Second Team All-Great American Conference selection on Wednesday.
 
It marks McMahon's second consecutive season earning All-GAC recognition after receiving Honorable Mention honors as a junior.
 
Academically, SWOSU placed seven student-athletes on the GAC Academic Honor Roll, awarded to those who maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA and have completed at least one year of full-time college residency. McMahon was joined on the list by Riley Lusk, Jaycee McKee, Hannah Nieuwenhuis, Josie Oakley, Maddie Rahon, and Sierra Woods.
 
McMahon batted .323 this season while appearing in 47 of SWOSU's 50 games with 45 starts. She totaled 43 hits, second-most on the team, while adding four doubles and a triple. Her .357 on-base percentage also ranked second on the team.
 
Defensively, McMahon threw out 13 baserunners from behind the plate, the third-highest total in the GAC.
