GREENWOOD, Ind. – Two student-athletes from SWOSU Baseball have been named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selections, announced Tuesday by the organization.
Seniors Ty Eastwood and Philip Sanders both earn academic recognition from the CSC for the first time in their career.
Academic All-District selections were based on combined academic and athletic qualifications. Student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games/contests played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games/contests. Pitchers needed a minimum of 17 appearances or 25 innings pitched. In addition to the athletic qualifications, student-athletes must also hold a minimum of a 3.50 cumulative GPA or higher and be at least a sophomore.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Golf and track & field/cross country will both be announced coming up in June.
