WEATHERFORD – Southwestern Oklahoma State University Athletic Director Todd Helton announced today that head softball coach Jessica Boone has resigned to pursue other coaching opportunities.
 
"I'd like to extend my thanks to Coach Boone for the hard work she dedicated to our softball program," Helton said. "We at SWOSU wish her all the best as she continues to progress her coaching career."
 
Boone recently finished her third season as the head coach at SWOSU this spring after she took over the program in the summer of 2022. During her three-year stint in Weatherford, she made win improvements in each season, culminated by a 22-25 finish this spring to secure a spot in the Great American Conference Championship for the first time since 2019.
