GREENWOOD, Ind. – Five student-athletes from SWOSU Softball have been named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selections, announced Tuesday by the organization.
Bulldogs who earned academic recognition include Kaylee Barkley, Chesnie Hewitt, Jadyn Hook, Jaycee McKee, and Taylor McMahon. Hewitt and Hook earn the honor for a second consecutive season.
Academic All-District selections were based on combined academic and athletic qualifications. Student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games/contests played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games/contests. In addition to the athletic qualifications, student-athletes must also hold a minimum of a 3.50 cumulative GPA or higher and be at least a sophomore. A maximum of five student-athletes can be selected per school.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Baseball, track & field/cross country, and golf will all be announced through the month of June.
