Landry Allen earned her third consecutive Great American Conference Defensive Player of the Week award, as announced Monday afternoon by the league office.
The honor marks Allen's fourth Defensive Player of the Week selection in the first six weeks of the season, tying the highest total achieved by any player during the award's inaugural season last year.
In SWOSU's lone game last week, a 75-59 road victory over Southeastern, Allen recorded seven defensive rebounds, five blocked shots, and one steal, while also contributing 10 points on the offensive end.
Through the first semester of the season, Allen ranks first in the Great American Conference in blocks (4.0 per game), is tied for fourth in steals (2.1 per game), and ranks sixth in rebounding (7.1 per game). Nationally, she currently ranks fourth in blocks per game.
