Cross Country Gets Season Going at SNU Invite

BETHANY, Okla. – SWOSU Cross Country got the season started on Saturday morning with the first meet of five meets on the schedule this fall. 

The race was a 2-mile course, shorter than the typical 5k distance (3.11 miles) that will be ran at the conference meet in October. SWOSU finished fourth out of five teams in the field. Oklahoma City University won the race. Mid-America Christian's Gracie Sanders clocked a 12:07.45 to claim the fastest time.  

SWOSU's results can be seen below. The Dawgs were led by freshman Ema Herald who notched a top-10 placing.
