WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The longtime relationship between Sonic Drive-In of Weatherford and SWOSU Baseball continued when Sonic owner Tommy Sims came to the final home games of the 2024 season to present head coach Zack Saunders with his annual contribution to the program.

It's the final Sonic donation Saunders will personally accept as leader of the program after it was announced he would step down at season's end. Sims has donated to SWOSU Baseball for more than two decades as part of the Sonic Corporation partnership program.

"Tommy's unwavering and consistent support year in and year out is something I have always deeply appreciated," said Saunders. "We are grateful for these donations which have helped improve our facilities, fund scholarships, and support the team over the years and we cannot say thank you enough."
