Bulldogs Drop Finale Doubleheader, Conclude 2026 Season

WEATHERFORD – SWOSU Baseball dropped both games of Saturday's doubleheader to Northwestern, falling 6-2 and 4-0 to close out the 2026 season.

Prior to the games, 11 seniors were honored as part of Senior Day.

The Bulldogs finish the season with a 23-25 overall record.

Game One
NWOSU 6, SWOSU 2

A six-run fifth inning proved to be the difference in the opener, as Northwestern used seven hits in the frame to break the game open. A combination of small ball and infield hits set the table before a three-run home run capped the inning.

Trailing 6-0, SWOSU had opportunities late but stranded eight baserunners over the final five innings.

Jose Mendoza led the offense, going 3-for-4 with an RBI single in the fifth. The Bulldogs finished with nine hits in the game.

Garrett Folmar (L) pitched 4.1 innings in the start. Kaegan Baker and Conner Watson combined for 4.2 innings of scoreless relief.

Game Two
NWOSU 4, SWOSU 0

SWOSU was shut out for the second time this season in the finale, as Northwestern plated single runs in the first, second, sixth, and seventh innings.

Jared Adams (L) turned in a solid effort, allowing just three hits over 6.0 innings while striking out three and walking four.

Elijah Long accounted for the Bulldogs' lone extra-base hit with a double.
