GREENWOOD, Ind. – Four student-athletes from SWOSU Softball have been named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selections.
Bulldogs who earned academic recognition include Dani Carmo, Chesnie Hewitt, Jadyn Hook, and Maddie Rahon. Both Carmo and Rahon earn the award for a second straight year.
Academic All-District selections were based on combined academic and athletic qualifications. Student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games/contests played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games/contests. In addition to the athletic qualifications, student-athletes must also hold a minimum of a 3.50 cumulative GPA or higher and be at least a sophomore. A maximum of five student-athletes can be selected per school.
The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Baseball, track & field/cross country, and golf will all be announced through the month of June.
